2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by WordPress.com (Aut O’Mattic A8C Ireland Ltd., Dublin, Ireland; parent company Automattic Inc., USA). When you visit the site, technically necessary data is processed, in particular your IP address, date and time, the page requested, and browser and operating system information. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. A data processing agreement is in place with the hosting provider. Transfers to the USA rely on the adequacy decision under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
3. Image delivery via a content delivery network
For faster loading, images are delivered via the network of WordPress.com/Automattic (domain wp.com). Your IP address is transmitted to its servers in the process. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (efficient and secure provision of the website).
4. Cookies and local storage
This website uses only technically necessary cookies or storage access, for example to remember your language setting. The legal basis is Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. I do not use tracking or analytics tools.
5. Contacting me
If you contact me by email or phone, I process the data you provide (e.g. name, contact details, content of your message) in order to respond to your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where pre-contractual measures are concerned (e.g. recruitment conversations), otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. I delete the data once your inquiry has been resolved, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
